Michigan State University operates the largest coal-fired generating plant on any university campus in the United States. That is bad for the local environment, bad for global climate change and bad for the prestige and reputation of MSU. Let's work to convince MSU President Lou Anne Simmons and the MSU Board of Trustees to de-commission it coal-fired power plant.

SHUT DOWN THE JACKSON INCINERATOR
For years now, many citizens and groups in the Jackson area have been working hard to shut down the Jackson incinerator and instead invest in recycling and other options. Unfortunately, the incinerator is still burning. The Jackson area Sierra Club is now involved in the fight and needs your help! If you are interested in helping to gather information, attend meetings, or anything else, please contact Mark Muhich, cmg.chair@michigan.sierraclub.org
